What Is Coaching?
Coaching is about establishing a trusting partnership between the coach and the client. It starts with a stirring from within because you want things to be different. Whatever the issue that’s holding you back — feeling stressed, stuck, disconnected, confused, unmotivated, it’s not neatly isolated. It’s interwoven within all levels: mind, body, heart, and spirit. Coaching is about actively partnering to assist you with taking action steps that will put you on a path to success. The coach’s job is to be curious, explore the client’s world with them, and ask the right questions. Powerful questions provide a client with introspection for possible solutions and lead to greater insight.
Who Seeks Coaching?
Anyone who desires to transform their life and break free of old habits that weigh you down, or self-imposed limiting beliefs that keep you smaller than who you truly are. Maybe you want more from life — more peace of mind or more inner fulfillment. Maybe you want less — less stress or less confusion. Change is often within your grasp but not always easy. A feeling of being stuck, the busyness of life, or fear of the unknown, can stop you from stepping into a new phase in your life. You don’t have to do it alone. A personal life coach can be the catalyst to help you navigate change and support your forward movement more healthily. Learn how to create a higher perception of yourself and gain the confidence to live a life of success.
Are you ASKING…
If any of the following questions touch a chord within, a personal life coach might be the change agent you need.
- How do I find inner fulfillment?
- Why am I feeling exhausted and stressed out?
- How do I get out of autopilot?
- What is my dream?
- How do I balance work and home life?
- How do I find the next stage of my life?
- How can I create a life from the inside out, instead of the outside in?
- How do I motivate myself to achieve my goals?
- How do I shift my life’s perspective from negative to positive?
How Does Life Coaching Differ from Therapy?
Although life coaching and therapy can complement each other, life coaching is not therapy. Therapy assists clients in resolving past issues or traumas. Life coaching does not diagnose or treat, but focuses on the present and is intended to help clients with change and achieving both personal and professional goals for the future.
When I first reached out to Debra, I was simply hoping to gain clarity on my career path as I was in the midst of change, uncertainty, and soul-searching. I did gain clarity and confirmation about my career path for myself; however, I embarked on a journey that I did not anticipate. It has been a journey of personal growth, spiritual growth and aligning more with my true self and strengths.
Debra is wise, insightful, compassionate, and no matter what is going on in my life at the time, I am always able to confide in her and receive invaluable feedback. She has helped me to become more aware of my inner thoughts and beliefs. I am more able to shift to a different mindset and deeper self-awareness while steering away from negative self-talk or false self-mindset more often and quicker than before as time goes on.
As far as my passions and purpose in life, I feel more confident in where I am headed and have more belief in myself in pursuit of my goals and dreams, even if they change as I continue to grow. I have also learned to trust my inner self and my intuition more. Debra has been a huge part in unlocking that part of me and I would highly recommend her coaching services.
